The final Brewathon brew! The NEIPAish thing…

So, during the brewathon, I again had ideas. I really need to stop doing that, I almost never seem to end with a logical brew… This one however I am very happy with as a first attempt. The next iteration will be bigger and better than ever, see ChemCast 6 for details on the plan for that one…

So, the theory with one was to get the fruity hoppy bomb of a cloudy beer that everyone seems to be getting but to do it Chem Style, nothing super spectacular just a hoppy fruity beer with a fruit juicy look.

NFI How this will turn out, but fuck it, might as well give it a shot.

Now, this one did turn out very well. I have to admit this is one of my better beers. Bags of body to the beer, lovely nose but honestly could have done with being a little bit hoppier for me (I dont think the second dry hop went in or worked) There are clearly a shitload of hops in this one, as shown by the lack of head retention due to the massive hop oil slick that sits on the top of your pint lol. A great first attempt appears to be the general consensus on this one from my dad and from other people who’ve tried it. I’ll definitely be making it again just with a few tweaks, and honestly I’ll probably be swapping the green bullet for galaxy, just to increase the fruityness. A great beer for BBQ weather, an given the fact I reckon we’re on for a mentally hot summer, theres gonna be more than a few of those happening this year, so its good I have a full 23L batch to go at 🙂
